For grown-ups

Four things that help

  • Ten minutes is plenty. Probably more than plenty.

One set of flashcards plus one quiz takes about ten minutes. Short and daily beats long and rare.

  • Say it out loud, together. Or just, you know, mouth it.

Use the 🔊 button, then repeat the word as a pair. Hearing a grown-up try (and wobble) makes it safe for a child to try too.

  • Mime the meaning.

Act out verbs like correre, dormire and ridere. Point at real objects around the house for casa words.

  • Let wrong answers be fine. Repetition is key. Try, try again!

There is no timer and no penalty. Wrong answers reveal the example sentence, which is where the learning happens.

A suggested week

  1. Mon–Tue: flashcards for one set, twice through.
  2. Wed: quiz the same set, aim for 6/10.
  3. Thu: hunt for those words around the house or on a walk.
  4. Fri: quiz again, aim for 8/10, then unlock the next set.
