Adam's tip: With essere, the participle behaves like an adjective: it agrees with the subject — sono andato / sono andata / sono andati / sono andate.

- prendere → preso · vedere → visto · aprire → aperto · essere → stato
- Luna's favourite: mangiare → mangiato (perfectly regular, thank goodness)
