  • buono โ†’ bene ยท cattivo โ†’ male
  • Frequency: sempre, spesso, qualche volta, raramente, mai
  • Adverbs usually go right after the verb: Parla bene l'italiano.

Almost every Italian adverb ends in -mente, from the Latin word for 'mind' โ€” so lentamente literally means 'with a slow mind.'
