Domani andremo alla luna — il futuro semplice
The futuro semplice
Grab your telescope: Luna insists she'll visit the real moon one day, and Adam is already planning next weekend. Time to talk about tomorrow.
🎯 By the end you can…
- Talk about plans and predictions using the future tense
- Conjugate regular -are, -ere, -ire verbs in the future
- Use the irregular futures of essere, avere, andare, fare
🎬 Listen to the scene
Tap a line to hear it, then say it back louder than Luna barks.
What will you do this weekend?
I'll go to the seaside with Luna. And you?
I'll study Italian, obviously!
Luna says one day she'll go to the real moon.
🔑 Regular futures
| parlare | scrivere | dormire | |
|---|---|---|---|
| io | parlerò | scriverò | dormirò |
| tu | parlerai | scriverai | dormirai |
| lui/lei | parlerà | scriverà | dormirà |
| noi | parleremo | scriveremo | dormiremo |
| voi | parlerete | scriverete | dormirete |
| loro | parleranno | scriveranno | dormiranno |
Adam's tip: -are verbs change their vowel too: parlare → parlerò (not parlarò).
🧩 Irregular stems
- essere → sarò, sarai, sarà… · avere → avrò, avrai, avrà…
- andare → andrò · fare → farò · venire → verrò · potere → potrò · dovere → dovrò
🤯 Wow fact
Italian squishes 'will' right onto the end of the verb — parlerò basically means 'I-will-speak' in one single word.
🗣️ Say it fast, say it silly
Andrò, farò, sarò, avrò — che futuro!
